Job Rules & Guidelines
Citizen:
You are an average joe.
You can buy a house and make it pretty, normal keypad rules apply. You may lock your doors to keep you safe.
Get married. Make a family.
Obtain a pet Deon.
Citizen may not raid. Ever.
You can be an oppurtinist if you see something on the street though. If someone drops a printer on your lap then run like the wind.
There is a set LAW on the server meaning any member of the Police force may arrest you on sight for owning any weapon in public. You may own a pistol but can only equip it on private property.
Police Officer/Chief & Swat:
Corrupt Police Officers/Chief are not allowed. Taking a bribe here and there is fine if valid through RP, but no raiding or stealing or owning of printers is permitted, ever.
This means no direct corruption, if someone /wispers you a sneaky deal or 2 then go for it.
You may not own illegal items. If caught, you may be demoted or even arrested by your fellow police.
You may not randomly taze, shoot, harass, arrest or search players without a valid RP reason.
Cops & Mayors are not allowed to build bases/donation boxes of any form, as they have the PD and the Mayor’s Office. They are the only ones allowed to build inside the PD.
Cops must only raid with due cause, this can be through a 911 call with a follow up investigation. Cops should destroy enemy printers but may keep weaponry and store it at the PD.
Only the police and the mayor may build in the Police Department. No building in jail.
(heavy)Gun Dealer:
Gun Dealers may NOT raid, ever.
Gun Dealers MUST have a shop at all times, and be on-duty 24/7.
You can only have 1 text screen to advertise your shop. Realistically this should be on your shop’s wall.
Gun Dealers can NOT have a gang/raiding base. They have a shop, not a fortress.
Gun Dealers can NOT live with anyone. However they may have one guard (Mercenary/Bodyguard).
You must NOT use this job as a personal weapon supply. Caught abusing it will lead to demotion.
You MUST establish some form of shop.
Once made a Gun Dealer, you have 10 minutes to make a base before an admin can demote you.
Gun Dealers can NOT be part of gangs.
It is legal for you to sell weapons to the Police/SWAT, but you do not have to.
It is illegal for you to sell anything but a pistol to any class. It is illegal for you to sell anything but a pistol to Mayor, Citizen, Medic, Drug Dealer, Bartender, Hobo, Cook.
This is a LAW not a RULE. This means if you do sell these weapons Police jobs may arrest you. Again we stress you can not be admin punished for this action.
A gun dealer may purchase weapons for themselves to protect their shop. These weapons may not be used for anything else other than protection of the shop and may only be bought within an established shop.
Although you cannot raid we're all oppurtinists, if you're on your lunch break and someone drops a printer on your lap then you'd be foolish not to liberate it.
Heavy gun Dealer:
This rank is a secret gun salesman. You will be wanted and arrested if caught selling any form of firearm/weapon.
Heavy gun dealers can be in gangs, if there already are 5 other members. This is 5 excluding yourself. Once in the gang you may raid/defend/party and act as any other regular gang member.
Gangs can only be up to 30% of the player population followed by this hierarchy:
Examples: 30players = 10 gang members. 15players = 5 gang members. 10players = 3 gang members. This is a rough guide, please adhere to it as closely as possible.
There can be max 1 BMD per gang.
You are not allowed to openly sell weapons. This is a secret job, so you sell on foot and in alleyways.
This means if you want a shop it has to be hidden, my favourite is a book shop with a nice slidedown counter displaying an arrangment of portable death. Make an effort keeping it hidden.
Automatic weapon shops are not allowed.
You must also sell every item for at least its purchase price and a transaction has to be made between players. Do note that "selling" items to people that you later change job and base with and use the same items IS BMD abuse and is a minimum week ban.
Neither are you allowed to base with anyone unless in a gang of at least 5+ other members. This includes guards.
Personal Guard:
When using this job you should be hired. Either to protect a player or his items.
You may be hired by the police or a bad guy, but you must not play an active or continued part in a gang/basing structure.
You must not abuse this job.
Do not spam with the fists. Repeatedly punching people/props/windows is annoying and will result in a warning, then a kick and then a ban.
You may NOT be part of gangs.
Medic:
You may heal for free, or you may charge.
You may not use this as a “gunslinger” job just to heal yourself. Medics are NOT gangsters.
Medics may NOT be part of gangs.
You can only have 1 text screen to advertise your shop. Realistically this should be on your shop’s wall.
Mayor:
This is a very respectable job.
You are the man in charge. You govern the police and make the laws of the town. However they may not go against the server rules.
Any abuse of this job will lead to demotion.
You are not a murderer or a police officer, your weapon is for protection only.
You may not hunt criminals.
You may not abuse lockdown. You can only have a lockdown with a valid reason.
You may not own printers
The gun license you can sell them for a price between 500 and 750 dollar. Not higher not lower! Giving people free license can result in a perm ban for the Mayor job.
Secret Agent:
This job is a freelance job. If wish to raid or mug players, you need to first set a clear job title such as "/job Thief", "/job Raider", "/job Mugger". The exception to this rule is if the SA is part of a gang, in which case they are required to have the gangname as a job (see BMD rules, above).
Do not abuse this job, this is a reward for buying supporter, however it CAN be TAKEN AWAY.
Secret Agents may also help the police if the Chief/Mayor allows it. If so, they will have to change their job to a clear job such as "/job Secret Police", "/job Detective" or the likes.
Hobo:
Spamming bugbait will get you arrested.
Throwing bugbait at other players will get you shot.
Singing (Right clicking with bugbait equipped) is perfectly legal.
You are a hobo, you do not own a home.
Do not spam with the fists. Repeatedly punching people/props/windows is annoying and will result in a warning, then a kick and then a ban.
Hobo’s are the local crazy homeless, they may own guns. They still must keep them a secret to avoid being arrested.
ONLY Hobo's are allowed to build outside, but not on the roads. Hobo shelters are not allowed to have a keypad as they are hobo shelters and not homes/bases. Hobo shelters have to be accessible by everyone. Shelters have to be small and sufficient to fit one hobo without annoying/blocking/interfering with other people or their bases. Hobo shelters may be put anywhere on ground level as long as it does not interfere with the mentioned things above.
Hobos are ONLY allowed to use the Half Life 2 props and NOTHING ELSE. No PHX, nothing. Hobo shelters/shacks are small, and cannot be combined with other hobos to create fortresses. Hobos may live in shelters/shacks next to eachother, however they should be limited in size up to 2x2x2, this means a area with the size of a box using the PHX sizes as measurements (i.e. 4 1x1 phx plates on each side, below and above).
Mob boss:
You are supposed to lead a gang. Please do so.
Agenda: Use this propely. “Kill cops” is not a proper assignment.
If not leading a gang, you can be demoted.
Gangster/Corleone:
You do not have to, but are expected to join the gang of the
“Mob/Corleone boss”.
RP properly and you may do anything from robbery to beating someone up for money.
The Gansters and Corleone's are not friends... they can kill each other. But not on the streets... You can not run arround with a gun.. If you do you can be arrested. The gun lisence are only for pistols. Heavy gun like ak // m10 are allways illegal.
Thief:
You break into people’s homes and rob shops/banks.
You may NOT camp in your base as this job. You can not be a member of a Gang and you can not hire the "Hitman"
Hitman:
You MUST be paid at least $700 per hit.
You MUST be PAID for a hit.
You MUST get a note for each hit (use /write “name” “how to be taken out”). You only need ask for a reason if your suspicious of metagaming/nlr.
Your job IS illegal and secret. You may NOT advertise you're a hitman directly, any adverts have to be subtle/hidden. The first one you use once a hit is bought. You may not be arrested or demoted for this. The second one is once finishing a hit. Same rules apply here regarding demotion and arrest. The last one is if you failed by dying or the person died, meaning the hit is off.
There has to be a REASON to kill someone. If you kill the same guy repeatedly you are breaking NLR. Use a bit of common sense when taking people out.
Hitman is a solo job. You base alone and you work with nobody.
Mercenary
You are a hired gun. You can either protect a person, his base or his items. Or help him raid/rob someone.
You may also do tasks for him, such as delivering stuff etc.
Mercenaries can be hired by anyone, from Police needing extra muscle to take down a bad guy/gang. Or hired as a bodyguard, doing some dodgy job. Your description is endless with the only rule relating to Assasinations.
You may not be hired by a hitman, as hitman is a solo job.
Admin on Duty:
This is a moderator class. You may NOT RP in this class.
This is the only class that it is acceptable to noclip into other bases with a valid reason.
You may not own bases/printers/weapons/items in this class.
If there is a Superadmin or Superadmin-on-Duty, you must conversate with them before doing anything that involves banning someone for non-severe reasons. (Propspam & Spawnblock is exlcluded from this rule).
You may only noclip into someone’s house/base to check it. But first you must /aadvert it.
Example 1: /aadvert John, I am going to inspect your base for propblock.
Example 2: /aadvert John, I am going to test your keypads.
This does not apply for superadmins, on or off duty.

Mob Boss (If is in the gang, must be gang leader)
Thief
Gangs must be no larger than 30% of the current player base.
Examples: 10 players - 3 man gangs / 20 players - 6 man gangs
You must have similar job titles. For example
Gang name "Stinchers Destroyers!"
Job titles could be anything "Stinchers ..." so "Stinchers Guard" or "Stinchers Lt" or "Stinchers Member" or whatever you like, long as you use Stinchers in the name to mark your membership of the gang.
Base Rules
We are sorry for the very specific rules, but over the years we've had enough of the arguments. These are strict rules, but please be warned not everything can be covered here.
Large, lag-filled bases will be removed without warning. So do not spam massive props in your base or any other form of props/entities.
You may only use 1-way props to cover existing world-map windows. They may never be part of any of your entrances or safes. Neither may it be part of your defence system.
Base rule is that enemies must be able to get to your valuables within 3 keypad cracks. This tradiational is 2 doors and 1 safe. However there are no rules on safe sizes.
Safes may not be used for defence (they should not have shooting windows).
Entrances should be 1x2 horizontal minumum space, to fit at least 2 people standing, for each fading door. Both of them should be able to crack the keypad and shoot back if standing up, just in case there is a window.
Any part of the intruders body you can see, they must be able to see on you. No "I can headshot you, but you can only see my feet."
The base must be able to be walked into. You may not force a player to crouch or jump to enter your base (players must be able to walk in and stay standing up)
Using lights, lamps, material (for example, a room that is a pitch black box) or any other tool to purposefully lag or disorientate players is not permitted.
Build efficiently. For example, do not spam props in order to cover a place when it can easily be replaced by a single bigger prop. Remember other people play here, it's nice to be friends to server resources and player machines.
PROPBASES (including skybases) ARE NOT ALLOWED. There are plenty of houses/apartments/warehouses already on the maps, use them accordingly instead.
You may have small extensions, such as well designed conservatories and porches
Extensions do not have to be part of the main entrance, you may use your extension as a safe - but NOT to advertise your possesions.
Fences may not be used as any part of the entrance including the door. Fences may not be blocked by another prop that is used as a fading door. Fences may not be colored or textured.
No-collided props are NOT allowed.
ONLY Hobo's are allowed to build outside, but not on the roads. Hobo shelters are not allowed to have a keypad as they are hobo shelters and not homes/bases. Hobo shelters shouldn't be posh penthouses, but we can have aesthetically pleasing hobos, those pallets can look good guys n gals!
Building on public property is strictly prohibited. Only exception are Hobo's.
SPAWN BUILDING LIMITATIONS - This also applies to mirror servers.
RP1: No tall buildings in the fountain or it's surrounding buildings - No large hobo huts in the square.
RP3: No buildings that block or limit spawn exits.
RP4: No tall buildings in the fountain or it's surrounding buildings - No large hobo huts in the square.
RP5: No building at all near spawn.
Shooting Windows
Minimum size for shooting windows is a PHX 0.5x2 plateprop or 2x8 super flat plates, set horizontally, they are the same. No small slits that no one can barely see into (this includes door props etc..). You may extend these in any way you want as long as the minimum requirements are met, i.e. 0.5x2 horizontally. Shooting windows have to be placed at 4 blocks above ground, meaning one 1x2 PHX plate under the shooting window, set horizontally, this results in what is considered a waist-height.
This is the advised minimum size, having your shooting window also act as a door is fine. Nobody will argue at an entire door sized shooting window.
Shooting windows must be textured/colored as see through and set to toggle. If using damage detectors, they must be placed on both sides
remove your base without warning.
Fading Door Rules.
Every prop that you are using to be a door MOST have a keypad or a Button. The Button and keypad can not be invisible.
World Door Ownership
Make sure you buy ALL of the doors before you start building.
If a player owns all of the doors in a building except one, including the front door, the admin may ask the player with 1 door to sell it. If the player refuses, the admin may kick them to allow the other player to purchase the door.
This rule does not effect if someone owns the front door of a building. If I own the only door leading out of the building, that means that I automatically gain rights to the doors inside. The only way this rule doesn't affect anything is if there is more than one entrance to the building.
You are not allowed to buy all doors and sell them like a Real Estate Agent. That's why there is no Real Estate Agent job.
If a person is disconnected as a result of Buffer overflow or Reliable snapshot overflow or a time out/Eroor of lua scripts, the persons base may not be owned by anyone else as long as the said persons props (even disconnected) are still there. However this only applies if the disconnected person does not re-spawn their base during after rejoining until the issue is resolved (can then be proven by the aid of Console. If a base was spawned after snapshot overflow (i.e. removed and respawned during issue), the person loses his/her right to the base doors. Same applies if the props are removed as a result of disconnected props expiration.
NLR - New Life Rule
NLR is an acronym for New Life Rule. New life rule is, simply stated, the rule that states if you die, you must not return to the area of your death for 5 minutes.
The only time that breaking NLR is acceptable, is if you are doing something that is outside of RP (Building and of the likes) and you fall off a building or smash yourself with a prop. Or if you get RDMed.
If you are killed in any sort of RP way, then coming directly back infringes on NLR, and will result in discipline. That includes:
Getting shot or killed in an RP way.
Your or someone else's printer explodes and kills you.
You are running from the police and fall off a building.
You may /advert asking if the raiders are done raiding your base. If they respond yes, NLR expires.
You get the point here, if its RP at all, then dying from it begins the NLR waiting period. If you are forced to go near where you died, run immediately past, and do not stop.
If you are within the radius of yelling to someone (using your "speak" button or you typ "hello in chat") you are too close, and are breaking NLR.
You may return to your place of death early only once the intruders or people that killed you have left or died.

The base must be able to be walked into. You may not force a player to crouch or jump to enter your base (players must be able to walk in and stay standing up)
Using lights, lamps, material (for example, a room that is a pitch black box) or any other tool to purposefully lag or disorientate players is not permitted.
Build efficiently. For example, do not spam props in order to cover a place when it can easily be replaced by a single bigger prop. Remember other people play here, it's nice to be friends to server resources and player machines.
PROPBASES (including skybases) ARE NOT ALLOWED. There are plenty of houses/apartments/warehouses already on the maps, use them accordingly instead.
You may have small extensions, such as well designed conservatories and porches
Extensions do not have to be part of the main entrance, you may use your extension as a safe - but NOT to advertise your possesions.
Fences may not be used as any part of the entrance including the door. Fences may not be blocked by another prop that is used as a fading door. Fences may not be colored or textured.
No-collided props are NOT allowed.
ONLY Hobo's are allowed to build outside, but not on the roads. Hobo shelters are not allowed to have a keypad as they are hobo shelters and not homes/bases. Hobo shelters have to be accessible by everyone. Shelters have to be small and sufficient to fit one hobo without annoying/blocking/interfering with other people or their bases. Hobo shelters may be put anywhere on ground level as long as it does not interfere with the mentioned things above.
Hobo shelters shouldn't be posh penthouses, but we can have aesthetically pleasing hobos, those pallets can look good guys n gals!
Building on public property is strictly prohibited. Only exception are Hobo's.
SPAWN BUILDING LIMITATIONS - This also applies to mirror servers.
RP1: No tall buildings in the fountain or it's surrounding buildings - No large hobo huts in the square.
RP3: No buildings that block or limit spawn exits.
RP4: No tall buildings in the fountain or it's surrounding buildings - No large hobo huts in the square.
RP5: No building at all near spawn.
Shooting Windows
Minimum size for shooting windows is a PHX 0.5x2 plateprop or 2x8 super flat plates, set horizontally, they are the same. No small slits that no one can barely see into (this includes door props etc..). You may extend these in any way you want as long as the minimum requirements are met, i.e. 0.5x2 horizontally. Shooting windows have to be placed at 4 blocks above ground, meaning one 1x2 PHX plate under the shooting window, set horizontally, this results in what is considered a waist-height.
This is the advised minimum size, having your shooting window also act as a door is fine. Nobody will argue at an entire door sized shooting window.
Shooting windows must be textured/colored as see through and set to toggle. If using damage detectors, they must be placed on both sides
remove your base without warning.
Fading Door Rules.
Every prop that you are using to be a door MOST have a keypad or a Button. The Button and keypad can not be invisible.
World Door Ownership
Make sure you buy ALL of the doors before you start building.
If a player owns all of the doors in a building except one, including the front door, the admin may ask the player with 1 door to sell it. If the player refuses, the admin may kick them to allow the other player to purchase the door.
This rule does not effect if someone owns the front door of a building. If I own the only door leading out of the building, that means that I automatically gain rights to the doors inside. The only way this rule doesn't affect anything is if there is more than one entrance to the building.
You are not allowed to buy all doors and sell them like a Real Estate Agent. That's why there is no Real Estate Agent job.
If a person is disconnected as a result of Buffer overflow or Reliable snapshot overflow or a time out/Eroor of lua scripts, the persons base may not be owned by anyone else as long as the said persons props (even disconnected) are still there. However this only applies if the disconnected person does not re-spawn their base during after rejoining until the issue is resolved (can then be proven by the aid of Console. If a base was spawned after snapshot overflow (i.e. removed and respawned during issue), the person loses his/her right to the base doors. Same applies if the props are removed as a result of disconnected props expiration.
NLR - New Life Rule
NLR is an acronym for New Life Rule. New life rule is, simply stated, the rule that states if you die, you must not return to the area of your death for 5 minutes.
The only time that breaking NLR is acceptable, is if you are doing something that is outside of RP (Building and of the likes) and you fall off a building or smash yourself with a prop. Or if you get RDMed.
If you are killed in any sort of RP way, then coming directly back infringes on NLR, and will result in discipline. That includes:
Getting shot or killed in an RP way.
Your or someone else's printer explodes and kills you.
You are running from the police and fall off a building.
You may /advert asking if the raiders are done raiding your base. If they respond yes, NLR expires.
You get the point here, if its RP at all, then dying from it begins the NLR waiting period. If you are forced to go near where you died, run immediately past, and do not stop.
If you are within the radius of yelling to someone (using your "speak" button or you typ "hello in chat") you are too close, and are breaking NLR.
You may return to your place of death early only once the intruders or people that killed you have left or died.
